Here's something that gets overlooked when people talk about epoxy application: the roller is working against the surface, not just the coating. Concrete has pores and texture. Wood has grain and can soak up material. Metal doesn't absorb much of anything, so the coating just sits there waiting for you to mess it up. That's why finding the best paint roller for epoxy isn't really a one-answer question. The roller that feels great on a garage slab might give you a lousy result on a steel door or a prepared wood surface. Same epoxy. Different job.
